WHAT WE DO
Processing and trade of agricultural biomass
SCS processes and trades high-grade palm kernel shells (Pks) to clients in the energy and manufacturing sector via market intermediaries. We are working towards developing and introducing bamboo wood chips, pellets, and briquettes into our product portfolio.
Sales of high-breed bamboo saplings
In the last decade, the awareness of bamboo has increased, opening opportunities for several countries and large-scale industries to use bamboo as a resource to address the shortage of sustainable raw materials and tackle the menace of environmental degradation.
Research and development
In line with our vision to enhance national industrialization in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner, SCS, in collaboration with critical development partners, conducts research on developing hybrid bamboo for industrial and environmental applications.
Carbon removal
One of our hybrid bamboo trees sequesters 450 kgs of atmospheric carbon and releases 320 kg of oxygen every year through photosynthesis, where radiant energy from the sun is converted into chemical energy in the form of wood and stores the carbon to the extent of 50 percent in biomass. In addition, 1 hectare of our hybrid bamboo sequesters 200 tons of atmospheric carbon annually for over 50 years.
